
Claudia P. Martorell received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California in Spanish Literature and earned a Minor in Political Science. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Martorell completed a certificate program at the Institute for International and Comparative Law in Barcelona, Spain and served on the Executive Board of the University of San Diego School of Law Appellate Moot Court Board.
Prior to joining Larrabee | Mehlman | Albi | Coker LLP, Ms. Martorell practiced immigration law with the Law Offices of Leah W. Hurwitz, APLC where she handled family-based immigration matters, citizenship and naturalization cases, asylum, as well as removal defense.
As an associate attorney with Larrabee | Mehlman | Albi | Coker LLP, Ms. Martorell’s practice includes all aspects of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processing, including consular issues. She represents employers and employees in a variety of industries including, but not limited to, engineering, financial services, information technology, biotechnology, healthcare and academia. Her experience includes treaty investor/trader visa applications, H-1B temporary worker petitions and L-1 intra-company petitions, as well as applications for permanent employment certification for advanced degree professionals and skilled workers and immigrant visa petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers and multinational executives and managers. Ms. Martorell also handles naturalization cases and family-based immigration matters.
Ms. Martorell is admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. She is an active member of the State Bar of California and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
