LMAC Roundtable: Navigating the DOL Prevailing Wage Maze
Would you like to know why securing a prevailing wage in-line with your company’s pay structure from the U.S. Department of Labor has become more challenging? Our next seminar in the LMAC Roundtable Series where we will discuss how to navigate the prevailing wage process for H-1B, H-1B1 and E-3 nonimmigrant cases, as well as for the permanent resident/green card process (i.e. PERM application).
This in-person roundtable will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. at our office.
The topics that we will cover include:
- Overview of the H-1B, H-1B1 and E-3 Labor Condition Application process
- Defining the prevailing wage requirement
- Steps to determine the prevailing wage for nonimmigrant cases types
- How is the prevailing wage determination process different for PERM applications?
- U.S. Department of labor guidance on determination of prevailing wage levels
- How and when to use alternate wage surveys
- What is the impact to the company of the DOL prevailing wage determination as part of the permanent resident/green card process?
We will also be providing a call-in option for clients. If you are interested in attending the presentation either in-person or by phone, please RSVP by Monday, December 5th with your name, company name, whether you will be attending in-person or by phone, and your phone number (if attending by phone) to RSVP@larrabee.com.
