LMAC I-9 Workshop

Are you interested in hearing about the new changes to the M-274 Handbook for Employers?  Would you like to receive hands-on training on some of the I-9 issues employers are facing everyday?  LARRABEE | MEHLMAN | ALBI | COKER LLP would like to invite you to attend a half-day workshop on I-9 compliance issues.  This interactive workshop will have several components designed to provide you with the most up to date information from USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) on Form I-9 and related issues.

This will be more than just a lecture.  We will review all aspects of the I-9 process – from preparation, to review, to correction and finally to purging of forms, and will address questions and answers throughout.  We will also provide samples and handouts to aide in the discussions.  There will be multiple attorneys present to ensure individual attention for each workshop participant.

Following the pattern of the last couple years, the Department of Homeland Security has recently announced that of its various immigration goals, I-9 employer sanctions and worksite enforcement are a top priority for this year.  Don’t be caught off guard.  Let LMAC assist you in navigating the I-9 maze.

Where:  Woodfin Suites Hotel, 10044 Pacific Mesa Blvd, San Diego

When:  Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

Cost per attendee:  $75

A continental breakfast will be served.

Due to the interactive nature of this event, there will not be a call-in option. However, if we receive substantial interest from clients outside of the San Diego area, we will very likely schedule additional events in those areas.

RSVP to seminar@larrabee.com with your name and company name.  Note that attendance is limited to 25 people and we will provide written confirmation that you have a spot reserved.  The fee will be collected the morning of the event and can be paid by cash or check.  If you realize that you are unable to attend after sending in an RSVP, please let us know so that we can make the space available for another participant.
