Grace Zimmerman is an expert in immigration and nationality law. She is licensed by the State Bar of California and is recognized as a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
Grace earned the degree of Juris Doctor from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1993. She graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations in 1987.
Grace’s practice consists of a full range of matters concerning non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, EB-5 investors, consular applications, labor certification, permanent residency and American citizenship. Her clients have included large multinational companies as well as start-up ventures. Individual clients come from countries around the world and from as many endeavors: they are scientists, engineers, architects, technology innovators, investors, businesspeople, athletes, artists and more.
Grace has served as Chair, Vice Chair and Member of the Immigration and Nationality Law Advisory Commission of the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA.) Grace has served on the following AILA committees; Business Immigration Committee; California Service Center Liaison Committee (two terms as Chair, one term as Member); San Diego AILA Chapter (Chair); PERM Implementation Group; and U.S. Department of Labor Liaison Committee. Ms. Zimmerman has been a speaker at numerous regional and national immigration conferences on employment-based immigration topics.
Grace is fluent in Spanish. As an undergraduate, she studied for one year at the Complutense/University of Madrid, Spain. She studied international law at a program sponsored by University of San Diego School of Law in Mexico City. Grace has traveled throughout Mexico, Central America and Spain.
